Indications

Monas 10 is indicated for the following conditions:

✓Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma
✓Prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction
✓Relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial)

Note: Always consult a registered physician before taking any medication.

Dosage & Administration

Adults

10 mg once daily in the evening

Children

4-5 mg once daily (age 2-5 years), 5 mg (age 6-14 years)

Elderly

No dosage adjustment needed

Administration

Take once daily in the evening, with or without food.

Important: Follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Do not adjust dosage without medical advice.

Side Effects

Monas 10 may cause the following side effects:

⚠Headache
⚠Abdominal pain
⚠Diarrhea
⚠Nausea
⚠Dizziness
⚠Mood changes (rare)
⚠Sleep disturbances

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience: Severe allergic reactions, difficulty breathing, chest pain, or any severe or persistent side effects.

Precautions & Warnings

Precautions

⚠Not for acute asthma attacks - use rescue inhaler
⚠Do not abruptly substitute for inhaled or oral corticosteroids
⚠Monitor for neuropsychiatric events (agitation, depression, suicidal thoughts)
⚠Inform doctor if asthma symptoms worsen

Contraindications

Do not use Monas 10 if you have:

✕Hypersensitivity to montelukast or any component

Unknown if excreted in breast milk, use with caution
